Nachdem Slightly Mad Head of Studio Ian Bell bereits im April von Project CARS 2 aber noch keine weiteren Details verlauten lies, ist die Entwicklung der Rennsportsimulation nun offiziell. Ein zweiter Teil soll wieder, wie bereits der erste mit der Hilfe von Crowdfunding entstehen und dabei mit Unterstützung der Fans und Spieler optimiert werden. Zudem sind die ersten Pläne zu den Inhalten des Games bekannt geworden, die erneut ein ambitioniertes Ziel verlauten lassen.
